$1M Lottery Ticket Sold At Parsippany Convenience Store

PARSIPPANY, NJ — It was a good weekend for one Parsippany lottery player, who won the $1 second place prize in the Saturday night Powerball drawing.

The second place ticket for the March 16 drawing was sold at Baldwin News & Food Store (138 Baldwin Road) in Parsippany.

The Parsippany ticket was one of three second place tickets sold nationwide; another one worth $1 million was sold in Pennsylvania, and a third with the Powerplay option was sold in South Dakota, worth $2 million. The jackpot went unclaimed.

In addition to the big prize, four third-tier tickets were sold around the state:

  • Monmouth County ($100,000): Stop & Shop #2812, 160 Village Center Dr., Freehold;
  • Atlantic County ($50,000): Main Petroleum Corp., 864 N. Main St., Pleasantville;
  • Bergen County ($50,000): 7-Eleven #39556, 100 W. Madison Ave., Dumont; and
  • Passaic County ($50,000): Nana Pena Grocery Deli Market, 276 Trenton Ave., Paterson.

The last time the Powerball jackpot was won was in December. The next drawing will be held on Wednesday, March 20; the jackpot will be worth $550 million.
