2 Days Off Added To Parsippany Schools Calendar Thanks To Mild Winter
Super long weekend coming at the end of March; more days likely to be added.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Would you trade in a season of sledding in the snow for some school days off in the spring?
If you said yes, you’re in luck.
The Parsippany-Troy Hills School District has announced it is giving back two of its unused inclement weather days to teachers and students by closing for an extra long weekend at the end of March.

The district was already scheduled to be off Friday, March 25 for Good Friday. That weekend will now be extended to include Monday and Tuesday, March 28 and 29.
The district allotted five inclement weather days for the calendar year, and none of them were used thanks to a mild winter.

Other dates may be announced for later in the year if the school is able to escape additional inclement weather days. According to the district’s calendar, unused inclement weather days will be added to the three-day Memorial Day weekend in May.
