24 New Jersey ZIP Codes Among Most Expensive In America

Do you know which New Jersey ZIP code comes with the highest price tag?

Forbes has compiled its annual list of America’s Most Expensive ZIP Codes and 24 New Jersey postal codes made the cut.

America’s most expensive ZIP code, according to Forbes, is 94027. That postal code belongs to Atherton, Calif. This West Coast community has a median home price of more than $10.5 million.

Bergen County’s Alpine was the most expensive community in New Jersey, coming in 12th on Forbes’ list. New Vernon, in Morris County, followed among New Jersey communities at 76th on the list.

To determine which ZIP codes have the most money behind them, Forbes used housing market data provided by Altos Research. Single-family home price data was assessed for more than 95 percent of the U.S. population.
