Baby Jesus Stolen From Parsippany Nativity Scene: Cops

Statue valued at $80, police report.

PARSIPPANY – The “reason for the season” has just been stolen in Parsippany.

A baby Jesus statue was taken from a resident’s nativity scene this week, and police are looking for the alleged thief.

Police responded to a residence on Adam Drive on Monday, Dec. 7 for a report of theft, police said. The homeowner told police that the baby Jesus statue from her front yard nativity scene was taken some time the night before, police said.

The statue has an approximate value of $80, the victim said.

Witnesses told police they saw a black vehicle driven by a male stop in front of the victim’s home and place an item in the vehicle before leaving the area, police said.
