PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Empire Diner, which has served generations of Parsippany residents, will be closing its doors permanently this weekend.

Restaurant staff confirmed with Patch that the beloved diner will be shutting its doors for good on Saturday, July 1.

The Empire Diner, formerly known as the Par-Troy Diner, has been a community fixture for many years.

Located at 1315 US-46, in Parsippany, the restaurant was best known for its authentic and classic diner food, with menu staples ranging from an all-American breakfast to Disco Fries and a variety of sandwiches.

The diner, which bills itself as "the only diner where customers will feel at home" has served generations of Parsippany and Morris County residents who have brought their families to Empire Diner for affordable breakfasts and dinners for decades.
