Chiller Theater Evacuated After Gas Leak, Bomb Scare In Morris Co
3,000 people, including celebrities, were evacuated from a Morris County hotel after a gas leak and then a bomb scare.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Chiller Theater promised plenty of horror, and it delivered— just probably not in the way fans and celebrities were expecting. Held at the Parsippany Hilton, the event was evacuated after a gas leak, and then a bomb threat was called in during the evacuation.
Police say a gas leak was first reported around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. All 3,000 Chiller Theater attendees were evacuated from the ballroom when the leak was found.
During the ballroom evacuation, a hotel employee called police to say that someone had just called in a bomb threat. The entire hotel, including the Ruth Chris's Steakhouse, was then evacuated.
