Collapsed Retaining Wall Closes Rt. 46 Lane In Parsippany
The wall is part of the Waterview Marketplace being built at the corner of Rt. 46 and Waterview Boulevard.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A collapsed retaining wall at the Waterview Marketplace has closed the right lane of Route 46 West in the area, Parsippany police said.
Police do not have an estimated reopening time. Parsippany Township engineers are on scene evaluating, police said. A spokesperson for RD Management, the company overseeing the Waterview project, has not immediately responded to Patch's request for comment.
The wall collapse angered some residents, who blamed the felling of trees for the over saturation of the ground. The project has been plagued with environmental concerns since it was first proposed in 2012. Plans to develop the site were previously rejected in the 1980s and in 2006.
