Pedestrian Killed In Crash On Major NJ Highway: Officials

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A person died after being struck by a vehicle along Route 46 in Parsippany on Monday morning, officials said.

The collision happened near the intersection of Route 46 West and North Beverwyck Road around 11:30 a.m., police said. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office confirmed later on Monday that a pedestrian had died.

Route 46 West was closed between North Beverwyck Road and Condit Street for several hours while officials gathered information.

Officials have not released the name of the person who died, and did not release further information as of Monday evening as they continue investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
