Deadline Approaches for Golf Outing in Memory of 9/11 Victim

The deadline is Monday. The golf outing honors Parsippany resident Martin Boryczewski.

It's been 12 years since Parsippany resident Martin Boryczewski lost his life in the September 11 attacks in New York City, but friends and family keep his memory alive through community service efforts.

Since Boryczewski's untimely passing, the nonprofit Friends of Marty Inc. has hosted an annual golf outing that raises funds for deserving students at his alma mater Morris Catholic High School.

The deadline for this year's 12th Annual Golf Outing is Monday.

"There's still time to secure your spot," said the organization. "Thank you to those who have already either signed-up and/or made a contribution."

The golf outing is on Oct. 7 at Crystal Springs Golf Club in Hamburg, NJ. Registration starts at 8:45 a.m. and modified shotgun shot starts at 10 a.m. There's lunch and an award presentation later in the day.

Download the attached PDF, which has information about the event and sponsorship opportunities. Make payments via PayPal on the organization's website, www.friendsofmarty.org or mail checks as soon as possible to secure your spot. More information is in the attached PDF registration brochure.

"Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations.  Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift," said the organization. "To find out if your company will match gifts to Friends of Marty, Inc., please contact your company's Human Resources department."
