Driver IDed After Fatal Crash In Morris County Monday

First responders took the 36-year-old to Morristown Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead about an hour after the crash.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Officials have identified a 36-year-old woman who died after a crash Monday evening in Parsippany.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office said that Diana Lopez Jimenez, of Dover, was fatally injured after her Hyundai Sonata collided with a Volvo S60 at West Hanover Avenue and Gov. Chris Christie Drive. Officials said the two cars collided just before 9 p.m.

First responders took Lopez Jimenez to Morristown Medical Center, where medical staff pronounced her dead at 10 p.m., said a spokeswoman with the prosecutor's office.

The driver of the Volvo was also treated at the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, said officials.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the collision, along with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Parsippany Police Department, and members of the Morris County Vehicular Homicide Task Force.
