Man Struck By Car On Rt. 46 In Parsippany: Cops
Incident occurred just before 8 p.m. at intersection of New Road, police report.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – A Morristown man was struck by a driver in Parsippany Tuesday night, and police are asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation.
Multiple 9-1-1 calls were made at 7:49 p.m. reporting a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Route 46 and New Road, Officer Brian Conover said. When police arrived they found the victim, a 23-year-old man from Morristown, lying in the middle lane of traffic unconscious and suffering from internal injuries, Conover said.
A preliminary investigation revealed Esterina Herman, 58, of West Caldwell was driving east on Route 46 and had the right of way while traveling in the middle lane through the intersection when Jose Dominguez proceeded to cross Route 46 East from the south side of the highway, Conover said.

It was then that Dominguez was struck by the car. Herman remained on scene to speak with police, Conover said.
No charges have been filed at this time.

The Rockaway Neck First Aid Squad treated the patient and took him to Morristown Medical Center where he’s still being evaluated. The victim is currently in stable condition, Conover said.
