Farmers Market Officially Coming To Parsippany

PARSIPPANY, NJ — This summer, Parsippany will officially have its own farmers market.

In the past, the municipality attempted to establish a weekly farmer's market where residents could stock up on the best locally grown or raised products from New Jersey farms and specialty vendors, but nothing ever stuck.

However, at the Tuesday, March 7 Parsippany Council meeting, it was announced that a new weekly farmers market is coming to the neighborhood.

The market will be located at Veterans Memorial Park and will last from June 9 to Oct. 27, according to officials.

As part of the new agreement with Megabyte Events, which will manage the weekly markets, there will also be live music and activities for children.

The free market will be held every Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and all pets are also welcome.

Each week, a mix of vendors and food trucks will be present, according to the company. Not all vendors will be present every week.
