Fiery Crash Leaves 1 Dead, Another Injured In Parsippany

Police are looking into a two-vehicle collision that happened on Wednesday evening. The crash left one driver dead and another injured.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — One person was killed and another was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash on a Morris County road, police said.

Police responded to the scene of the crash involving a motorcycle and a Kia Sportage just before 4 p.m., in the area of 100 Parsippany Road in Parsippany, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Authorities reported that both vehicles were engulfed in flames following the crash, resulting in serious injuries to both drivers. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to Morristown Medical Center, and their identity has not been released.

The driver of the Kia was also taken to the hospital for treatment, but additional details on their current condition have not yet been released, according to Meghan Knab, a spokeswoman for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

Parsippany police, along with the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Morris County Sheriff's Office, are conducting the investigation.
