PARSIPPANY, NJ — Looking to get rid of old medications? The Parsippany Police Department is participating in the DEA's Operation Drug Take Back Event, and will be collecting old medications.

Both prescription and over-the-counter medications will be accepted. They'll be collecting the unwanted medications on Saturday, April 27 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Morris Hills Shopping Plaza (3189 Route 46 East in Parsippany).

Pills, patches and liquids can be dropped off. Needles will not be collected.

The last Take Back Event in October collected 12,749 pounds of drugs across the state.
