PARSIPPANY, NJ — Drivers can expect lane closures on Interstate 80 eastbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills this week, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

I-80 eastbound is scheduled to have lane and shoulder closures tomorrow morning for the start of drainage repairs, officials said.

From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, the left lane and shoulder are scheduled to be closed at milepost 41.8 to install a construction barrier.

When installation is complete, the left lane will reopen and the left shoulder will remain closed for approximately three weeks to replace a drainage pipe underneath the roadway.

All lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction, officials said.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays.

The work is part of an $8.8 million state-funded maintenance project to repair stormwater facilities at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.
