Man Admits Sexually Assaulting Boy, 12, In Morris County: Prosecutor
Crimes occurred in Boonton home in 2002, authorities said.

A Morris County man accepted a plea deal Wednesday and admitted to having oral sex with a 12-year-old boy numerous times more than a decade ago, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.
Luis Estrada, 51, now of Rockaway, was facing trial on charges of first degree aggravated sexual assault and second degree sexual assault for crimes that occurred in 2002, Knapp said.
Estrada was living with the Boonton family of the boy, who was 12 at the time, and admitted to engaging in a number of acts of oral sex, Knapp said. The victim did not report the acts until 2013.

Estrada was 37 at the time of the crimes.
Under the plea agreement, Estrada faces up to 12 years in prison, is subject to No Early Release Act, Community Supervision for Life, and Megan’s Law.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 6.
