ROCKAWAY, NJ - A 61-year-old Rockaway Borough man has been charged with sexually assaulting an underage teenage girl who worked for him at his restaurant, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.

Robert Grow was arrested March 8 and charged with Sexual Assault, a crime of the second degree; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the third degree; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the third degree, authorities said.

Officials said that between Dec. 1, 2018 and March 8, 2019, Grow engaged in multiple sexual acts with the girl who was a 17-year-old he employed at Potbelly’s Restaurant. As Grow was her employer and owner of the restaurant at the time of the assaults, authorities said he and had supervisory power over her.

Grow has been charged by warrant-complaint and was released from the Morris County Correctional Facility yesterday in accordance with Criminal Justice Reform. As part of the defendant’s release from custody, he was ordered not to have any contact with the victim and/or unsupervised contact with minors other than his own children, authorities said.
