The middle school principal is accused of the attempted sexual assault of a 16-year-old former student.

DENVILLE, NJ — A Denville middle school principal is accused of attempted sexual assault of a 16-year-old former student, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said Friday morning.
Paul Iantosca, 52, from Randolph, is the principal at Valleyview Middle School in Denville. He is accused of engaging in "contact" with a former student, who is now 16 years old, Knapp said. Further information about their relationship or the alleged crimes will not be released at this time, Knapp said.
The alleged assault did not happen on Denville school grounds, or involve any current Denville K-8 students, Denville superintendent Steven Forte told Patch.
