All Lanes Reopen After Dump Truck Overturns On I-80 Near Montville

Two lanes of the highway were closed through the morning rush hour, near the interchange with I-280.

MONTVILLE, NJ — All lanes are back open after a dump truck overturned on I-80 Tuesday morning, causing traffic delays for drivers in eastern Morris County.

The crash was first reported on Route 80 eastbound in Montville Township at around 6:45 a.m., past Exit 47A for I-280.

Two of three lanes were closed through the morning rush hour, with cars backed up past the exit for I-287 in Parsippany. There were some rubbernecking delays on westbound I-80, as well, per traffic reports.

The incident had cleared by about 10:30 a.m., according to 511nj.org.
