Cop Shot Himself In The Leg In Parsippany: Police
The police officer was in the middle of completing his weapons qualifications with the incident happened, police said.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — A police officer accidentally shot himself in the leg Thursday morning at a training facility in Parsippany, police said.
The officer, who police did not name, was at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy Firing Range completing weapons qualifications, police said. The officer was with the Department of Human Services, Parsippany police said. The accident happened around 10:30 a.m.
Fellow officers and academy employees immediately helped the officer, police said. He was taken to Morristown Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries by the Par-Troy EMS.
