Parsippany Detective Promoted to Sergeant
Edward Conklin has been a cop for 16 years, garnering wide array of accolades and citations.
Edward Conklin has spent the last 16 years in law enforcement, and Wednesday was one of the best days of his career.
The Parsippany Police Detective was promoted to the rank of Sergeant at Town Hall on Oct. 7. He’s been with the Parsippany Police Department since 2002 after spending three years in the Paterson Police Department.
Conklin, 43, has three children and has been a detective on the force since March 2006.

Conklin graduated William Paterson University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He’s also a member of the Honor Guard, is an arson investigator and crash investigator. Conklin has received the World Trade Center Service Citation, Honor Legion Citation, Life Saving Award, Meritorious Service Award, Command Citation, and Unit Citation.
