Parsippany Educators Donate Over $2,000 to Food Pantry

The money came from teachers in all 14 district public schools, according to Parsippany-Troy Hills Education Association​ VP Jay Duhl.

PARSIPPANY, N.J.– Teachers from all 14 Parsippany-Troy Hills public schools raised $2,010.50 for the Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry.

The educators have been contributing to the food bank drive since early November, according to Parsippany-Troy Hills Education Association Vice President Jay Duhl.

Mayor James Barberio and Michelle Picone on Friday accepted the donation at the Parsippany Community Center, Duhl said.

"Although the majority of the funds have come from the 750 members of the teachers’ association in all of the town’s elementary, middle and high schools, many secretaries, administrators, custodians and visitors to the school buildings joined the cause as well," Duhl said.
