Parsippany Man Hid Heroin In Candy Aisle Of Drug Store: Police
Police say the accused was there to give a ride to a woman who overdosed in the parking lot.

HARDING, NJ — A Parsippany man is accused of hiding heroin in a drug store candy aisle before someone he knew overdosed in the parking lot, Harding police said.
John Fleistra, 28, faces several charges in relation to the Oct. 18 incident at the Route 10 CVS in Hanover, including possession of heroin and hiding evidence. Police were called to the parking lot for an unconscious person in a car. When they arrived, police say Fleistra was standing next to the unconscious woman.
Fleistra allegedly told police that he was there to give the woman a ride and was there when he collapsed. A check of store security footage showed Fleistra going into the store and hiding a deck of heroin in the candy aisle behind bags of candy, police said.
