Parsippany Native, Soccer Star Nets Philly-Area Field Honors
Bobby Edwards is putting up big numbers in goal.

In just his sophomore season as a member of the Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer team, Bobby Edwards is making a huge impact.
The Parsippany native and St. Benedict’s Prep alumni has been named the Philadelphia Soccer Six Defender of the Week for notching 13 total saves over a two-game stretch.
Edwards had a career-high eight saves in 90 minutes against Rhode Island, giving up two goals in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss. Edwards then notched five more saves against George Mason in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw.

So far Edwards has made 11 starts this season and boasts a 1.56 goal against average.
Edwards and the Hawks face off against Davidson at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21.
