Primary Election 2023: Who Is On The Ballot In Parsippany

Here's everything you need to know about Tuesday's primary election:

PARSIPPANY, NJ — On June 6, voters around New Jersey head to the polls to vote in the 2023 primary election.

This year, Parsippany residents will be voting for three open seats on the township council.

Parsippany is also voting for the County Clerk, one Commissioner seat, and for a State Senate and two General Assembly seats.

Here's who's on the ballot for the primary:

  • Town Council:
    • Current Republican Councilman Paul Carifi, Jr. is running alongside Adam Kandil and Matthew McGrath on the Regular Republican Organization line on the ballot.
    • Running under the Regular Republican Party line on the ballot is Gary Martin, a former member of the Board of Education, and Parsippany resident Danny Desai.
    • Three Democratic candidates have declared their candidacy for Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Council. Judy Hernandez, Bernard Clarkin, and Matt Kavanagh will be on the Democratic ticket in the upcoming election.
  • State Senate:
    • Joseph Pennacchio (R)
    • Tom Mastrangelo (R)
    • Joan Waks (D)
  • General Assembly:
    • Jay Webber (R)
    • Brian Bergen (R)
    • BettyLou DeCroce (R)
    • Robert Peluso (R)
