While the Democratic race is uncontested, the Republicans have four candidates running for three spots on the ballot.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Primary Election Day is here in Parsippany, and there is a contested race on the Republican side. The Democratic race is uncontested.
Four Republicans ran for three spots on the ticket; three Democrats ran for three spots. Those elected in the primary will face off in the November general election for three four-year terms.
The three Republican incumbents will earn the three spots on the general election ballot. Tonight's winners, and their vote totals, are in bold:

- Republican Michael J. dePierro (incumbent) 1,706
- Republican Paul Carifi Jr. (incumbent) 1,548
- Republican Loretta Gragnani (incumbent) 1,457
The following three Democratic candidates are running for three spots on the general election ballot. Barring any write-in campaigns, these are the same names you will see come November:
- Democrat Cori A. Herbig 1,031
- Democrat Robert Kaminski 1,048
- Democrat Judith Hernandez 1,058
