Rotary, Elks and Local Clubs Meet Wednesday in Parsippany
Here's what's going on Wednesday in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

Its summertime which means barbecues, beaches and pools, but if you are looking for something to do locally, Parsippany has a plethora of activities for you.
The Parsippany-Troy Hills Rotary offers ways to get involved in the community and meets every Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. at Il Villagio Restaurant in Power Mill Plaza on Route 10 E.
According to their website, the Rotary’s main objective is “service in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe.”

The Elks Lodge #2078 also meets today at the lodge located at 230 Parsippany Road.
“Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, by undertaking projects that address unmet need, and by honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans,” the organization states on its website.

If you are looking for a way to help your kids maintain their brainpower, head down to the Lake Hiawatha Library Branch at 68 Nokomis Ave. and visit the Chess Club. The club meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
At the club beginners learn how to play chess and experienced players can challenge a partner of equal ability to a game. The club is for children ages 9 and up.
Project Healthy Bones is a way for local seniors to get out and stay active with a low impact exercise program designed for men and women diagnosed with or are at the risk of osteoporosis.
They meet on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Center
