Central Middle School student suffered medical emergency Thursday morning.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – A student from Central Middle School remains in critical condition Friday after suffering a medical emergency in one of the building’s bathrooms Thursday, police said.

The student, who was unidentified by police, was in gym class Thursday morning and asked to use the bathroom, police said. A short time later, fellow students entered the bathroom and immediately called on the gym teacher, reporting something was wrong with the victim, who was found unresponsive.

Faculty members began CPR immediately and continued until police and EMS arrived on scene, who continued medical treatment and took the victim to Morristown Medical Center via ambulance and police escort.
