Swastika Found In Hanover Township: Officials
The swastika was found in the Whippany section of town on Mischief Night.
HANOVER, NJ — Hanover Township police are investigating a swastika found in the Whippany section of town on Mischief Night, the Township Committee said.
Officials did not say where exactly the swastika was found, or on what type of property. It is currently under investigation by the police department.
The Township Committee decried the symbol in a statement, writing, "The governing body, in the strongest possible terms, denounces any symbol of hatred, bigotry and insensitivity toward our fellow human beings. The township does not condone or support any behavior that is not respectful of any religion, ethnic group, race, creed, color, nationality or sexual orientation."
