Truck Fire Shuts Down Lanes On I-80 In Morris County

Traffic congestion, according to authorities, is causing delays in the surrounding areas.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A truck has ignited into flames on Interstate 80, causing traffic delays in surrounding areas, according to authorities.

According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the truck is on I-80 westbound, East of Exit 43—I-287, near Parsippany-Troy Hills Township.

All lanes, including the right shoulder, are currently closed, police said.

As a result, traffic in the surrounding areas is backed up, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation's 511NJ website.
