MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A car has ignited into flames on Interstate 80, causing traffic delays in surrounding areas, according to authorities.

According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the car is on I-80 eastbound, east of Exit 35 — Mount Hope Avenue, near Rockaway Township.

As a result, three of the four right lanes are currently closed, police said.

According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation's 511NJ website, traffic in the surrounding areas is backed up.

There is currently a 40- to 45-minute delay.
