Detours were in place for nearly seven hours.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – A major Parsippany roadway was reopened just before 2:30 p.m. Monday after a water main break forced the closure and subsequent detours for nearly seven hours.
Vail Road was closed between Manito Avenue and Edwards Road due to a water main break Monday morning, snarling traffic in the area.
The pipe was fixed and the road repaired enough for traffic to use. Police made the announcement at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
