Delays, Closures on River Ave., Route 88 in Point Boro

River Ave will be closed between Herbertsville Road and Route 88 from approximately 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Wednesday, officials said. Delays and lane closures were also reported on Route 88.

Residents are being asked to find an alternate route.

The road is being closed due to a utility pole and traffic signal being down due to an accident, according to the state Department of Transportation. The pole itself was downed near Route 88, the report from the state agency said.
