Family Fun Run Fundraiser at Nellie Bennett on Oct. 15

The Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization will host a two-mile Family Fun Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 15.

Individuals pay a $10 entry fee. There is a $30 entry fee for families of four or more.

Proceeds will be used for the event, with any remaining revenue used for extra-curricular programs, said PTO Race Chair Allison Feehan.

The race leaves from the Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School parking lot and the run/walk will take place in the Bay Head Shores neighborhood.

"We will be giving out certificates to the first three children and first three adults to cross the finish," Feehan said.

"This race is to reflect the importance of exercise to our Nellie Bennett children. T-shirts will be given out prior to the race for all registrants while supplies last," Feehan said.
