Fundraiser For Point Beach Education Foundation Coming Up This Weekend
"Sips, Dips, Dinner and Gifts" fundraiser will be be held at Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty on Feb. 3.

Point Pleasant Beach, NJ — Want to meet and greet some local folks and help out the Point Pleasant Beach Public Education Foundation at the same time?
Then come to the Foundation's second annual "Sips, Dips, Dinner and Gifts" event this Friday from 6:30 p.m. t0 10:30 p.m. at Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty on Channel Drive, according to the Ocean Star.
Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased by calling 732-674-5418. Better hurry though, since more than 125 of the 180 tickets have already been sold.

Those who attend will be treated to a one-hour wine tasting, appetizers, dinner, live music by the Wagner Brothers Band, gift auction, coffee and dessert, said Kas Dyson, vice-president of the PPBPEF.
Gifts will also be auctioned off - including trips to Flagler Beach, Florida, Philadelphia and Block Island, Rhode Island, she said.

Last year's event raised around $13,000, which went towards grants and scholarships for students at Point Pleasant Beach High School.
“We give scholarships to high school seniors and for [G. Harold Antrim Middle School] and we give grants to teachers and faculty,” she said. “The biggest thing that we do is really get a lot of bonuses the school district can’t necessarily put in a budget.”
