Last Car Cruise in Point Beach Oct. 2

The last Point Beach Chamber of Commerce car cruise of the season will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 2, with Arnold and Bay avenues closed to through traffic.

Businesses on those streets can put merchandise on the sidewalk, but not on the curb, said Carol Vaccaro, chamber executive director, in an email to chamber members.

Also, the municipality of Point Beach will be closed for furlough days this Thursday and Friday. That includes the department of public works, so there will be no collection of trash or recycling on those days.
