Locals Indicted on Theft, Mischief Charges

Point Boro man and Point Beach resident used spray paint to damage property, steal bicycles, indictment alleges

Two local residents have been indicted after police charged them with breaking into a shed, stealing items and going on a vandalism spree.

Daniel A. Williams of Point Pleasant Beach and Matthew K. Marsh of Point Borough were indicted last week by an Ocean County grand jury for a series of reputed crimes that were committed last July 1 and 2.

The pair broke into a shed on the property of a Beach resident and caused damage in excess of $2,000, the indictment alleges. Later, Williams and Marsh stole two bicycles from another Beach resident that were worth "at least" $200, authorities claim.

Furthermore, the indictment charges the pair with using stolen spray paint cans to damage the property of at least 11 people, as well as .

Williams and Marsh were each charged with burglary, criminal mischief, theft and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief.
