Point Beach Suspends Bulk Pick-Up on Wed.
Town watches path of Sandy and uses reverse 911 system

Point Beach is suspending Wednesday bulk pickup and rescheduling it for Nov. 7.
"We are notifying residents of current storm events via the reverse 911 system," said Point Beach Business Administrator Chris Riehl. "Anyone not registered can do so on our municipal web site by clicking on the link."

On Monday, there will be no trash collection in Districts 3 and 4 and there will be no recycling collection in Districts 1 and 2.
On Tuesday, there will be no trash collection in Districts 1 and 2 and no commercial cardboard pick-up town-wide.

Regarding bulk pick-up on Wednesday, public works asks that items not be placed out at curbside until late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
Regarding Lake of the Lillies, public works is lowering the level of the lake to help reduce flooding.
Lake Louise cannot be lowered because it is fed by the Manasquan Inlet and the ocean.
The department is asking residents and businesses to not rake leaves towards the streets until the middle of next week and to clear leaves from storm drains.
