Point Pleasant Beach Introduces New Parking Plan

The borough has introduced a new parking plan, one that would issue up to 120 employee passes and free up parking for visitors.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH – The borough has introduced a new parking plan, one that would issue up to 120 employee passes and free up parking for visitors.

A public hearing will be held on the plan on March 17.

Under the plan, the borough would allow a downtown employee a parking pass as long as they provided proof of employment and proper identification.

The parking pass will permit the employee to park his or her identified vehicle in one of the spots in the Railroad Parking Lot beginning on May 1.

The parking pass will be issued on a yearly basis, beginning each year on January 1 and expiring on December 31.

The rate charged for parking in the Railroad Lot would increase from $1 to $1.50 an hour beginning May 1.
