Point Pleasant Boro decided to close schools effective Monday.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Point Pleasant Boro decided to close schools effective Monday, and until further notice.

The district decided to promote social distancing in an attempt to flatten the curve of the spread.

District staff will report on Monday as a professional development day to make preparations for remote learning beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

"We understand this is a stressful time for students." Superintendent Vincent Smith said. "Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in children and adults."
