POINT PLEASANT BORO – The district spoke about the threat of the coronavirus this week, saying schools have an important role in slowing the spread of diseases to help ensure safe and healthy learning environments.

The Point Pleasant Boro School District administration continues to carefully monitor the evolving situation surrounding the new Coronavirus (COVID-19), officials said.

Superintendent Vincent Smith said educators, students and their families have had concerns about coronavirus that has risen as the news coverage has increased.

"As with any disease that has thep otential to affect our community, the CDC and its public health partners will provide information about the signs, symptoms and severity of the coronavirus, as well as the proper steps to help prevent its spread," Smith said.
