Point Pleasant Boro Schools Address Coronavirus, Scheduled Events
Superintendent Vincent Smith issued an important notice to parents about major events that are scheduled and what the district is doing.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Point Pleasant Boro Superintendent Vincent Smith indicated Thursday that the district's major events remain scheduled even though the situation with the coronavirus is "rapidly evolving."
Upcoming extracurricular events, such as the production of "West Side Story" and the annual kids-versus-cops basketball game, are highly attended and "I ask that everyone exercises good judgment in attending such occasions."
"If you, or anyone you are in close contact with are exhibiting symptoms or not feeling well, please stay home," he wrote in the March 12 letter.

Smith said the custodial staff has ben trained and is utilizing strong practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses.
"This includes the frequent disinfection of surfaces such as tabletops, doorknobs, handles, bathrooms and other 'hotspots' that students and staff come into contact with," he said. "The district has a sufficient supply of disinfectant and will continue an aggressive approach to surface disinfection."
