Sunshine Harbor Resident to Run With Point Boro Dem. Incumbent
Desiree Land to run with Incumbent Democratic Borough Councilman Chris Goss
Point Borough Democratic Councilman Chris Goss is running for reelection on a slate with Desiree Land, a political newcomer who lives in Sunshine Harbor, according to the Borough Clerk's office.
The pair will run unopposed in the June 4 primary for two, three-year seats.

Land lives on Middle Avenue and Goss, who first got elected to council in November, 2010, lives on Kilkare Parkway.
Goss said on Monday, "Yes, I've decided to run for reelection. I really had no intention of doing so as it keeps me from putting full attention into my other pursuits.

"But I was tremendously disappointed with the results of the last two elections and I can't in good conscience leave the community I love, that I've invested my family's future in, in the hands of people who lack vision and the willingness to make the tough decisions and take the tough actions that our town needs to achieve its potential."
Anyone wishing to run as an Independent in any municipality in Ocean County must file with the county clerk's office by June 4, the day of the primary.
