Two of the Four Point Boro H.S. "Charlotte's Web" Performances Sold Out

Tickets left for only two performances

If you're planning on waiting to buy tickets to Point Borough High School's Charlotte's Web productions, you might as well get caught in a web.

Tickets are already sold out for the 7 p.m. Oct. 28th and Oct. 29 performances of the fabled children's classic by E.B. White.

The sell-out of the two performances compelled the high school dramatics department to add another show, which will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 28.

Each performance is seating only 100 people, with a theater-in-the-round setting.

Cast and crew had recently sold their own tickets, before tickets went on sale to the general public on Monday.

"This production is unique as it is directed and produced by the borough high school students, with 17-year old senior Lauren Rauffer serving as the director," said Rebecca Muraglia, Dramatic Arts teacher. "From publicity to directing, the high school students are taking on the creative and managerial work that goes into a theatrical production."

All proceeds from this event will go to theatrical scholarships for graduating seniors.

"Charlotte's Web, is based on the children's classic by E.B.White," says a prepared statement from the Dramatic Arts department.

"This little story of loyalty and friendship has had a huge impact on millions of children spanning three generations.

"Though small in stature, Charlotte the spider's big heart leads her friend Wilbur, the pig, to understand and accept his place in the world.

"A little girl named Fern loves Wilbur, too, and, along with a less-lovable rat known as Templeton, and a barnyard full of lively farm animals, a story is woven which is as full of strength and as delicately magical as a web itself."
