Toohey and Vogel turned back a challenge from Democrat Daniel Di Corcia, the son of former Councilman Daniel Di Corcia. Di Corcia received 1,030 votes.
“Understandably, Democrats always have a tough time and my dad did things that no Democrat could ever do again,” he said. “That being said, I felt so humbled and honored that people voted for me just because of my last name and that really made me feel good.”
