Valentines For Veterans Collection Underway In Point Pleasant Area
The Point Pleasant area Kiwanis Club is collecting items to assist veterans in need. See how to donate or help.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Kiwanis Club of Point Pleasant is conducting its 5th Annual Valentines for Veterans donation drive seeking supplies for veterans in need.
Items donated during the collection drive will go to veterans via the New Jersey Veterans Network, We Soldier On, and A Need We Feed.
Donation collection bins will be available through Jan. 31 at the following locations

- Baron’s Bagels, 3003 Route 88, Point Pleasant Boro
- Point Pleasant Beach Police Station lobby, New Jersey Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach
- Paul Prendergast Karate, 950 Cedar Bridge Ave., Brick
- Little Rascals Childcare, 567 Mantoloking Road, Brick
- Starbucks, Sea Girt & Wall
- The Salty Whale, 390 E. Main St., Manasquan
In addition to the donation collection, the Kiwanis Club is seeking volunteers to help sort and package the items collected.
The packing event is set for Feb. 15 from 2-4 p.m. at the Woman’s Club of Point Pleasant, 513 St. Louis Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach. All are welcome to volunteer with us, including kids.

Members of the public who wish to volunteer are asked to register here by Friday, Feb. 7. Please note on the form if you want to volunteer for our veterans project or our Teachers’ Closet (also happening the same day at the same location).

- Gallon-size zipper bags
- Toiletry cases
- Hand sanitizer
- Wet wipes
- Combs/brushes
- Socks
- T-shirts
- Underwear
- Hats & gloves
- Reusable water bottles
- Snack bars
