Construction Work On Pause In Princeton For Independence Day Holiday
Most of the work is on pause this week and will resume Monday, July 8.
PRINCETON, NJ — Independence Day falls on Thursday this year, and while many public offices will be closed on the day, construction work in the municipality has also come to a pause.
PSE&G’s contractor, Waters & Bugbee, will not be working on Nassau Street this week. Work will resume on Monday, July 8.
However, they will be conducting tie-ins at Library Place at Hodge Road and Cleveland Lane and on Spruce Street at Chestnut Street this week. Waters & Bugbee will be installing new service connections during the day on Maple Street, Vandeventer Avenue between Wiggins Street and Nassau Street block-by-block, and Linden Lane between Spruce Street and Nassau Street. Drivers need to be aware that these roads will be closed at times and detours will be in place. Waters & Bugbee will not be on site Friday, July 5.

NJ American Water's contractor, CRJ Contracting, will also pause water main and service utility construction on Ridgeview Circle this week. Work will resume on July 8.
Phase III Witherspoon Street Improvements (Leigh to Valley) will continue.

Witherspoon Street will be closed between Henry Avenue and Guyot Avenue. Local business access will be available following the detour.
Earle will not be on site Friday, July 5.
Meanwhile, there are no Municipal meetings scheduled for this week.
