DUI, Contempt of Court: Princeton Police Blotter

The Princeton police blotter dated June 4 had the following reports:

PRINCETON, NJ - On My 24, 11:46 a.m., following a theft investigation, a 41-year-old Ewing resident was arrested at police headquarters after he was found to be an NCIC Wanted Person out of Mercer County Superior Court. He was processed accordingly and released on his own recognizance by Mercer County Superior Court.

On May 28, 1:15 p.m., following a pedestrian stop for an open container violation, a homeless person was arrested after it was discovered that he had a warrant out of the Princeton Municipal Court. He was then transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly. He was later transported to the Mercer County Correctional Facility to await a new court date.

On May 29, 10:53 p.m., following a motor vehicle stop for a “No Turn on Red” violation, the driver, a 27-year-old Newark resident, was found to have two active warrants out of the Florham Park Municipal Court. He was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and processed accordingly. The driver was later released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.

June 2, 8:04 p.m., following a hit-and-run investigation, a 38-year-old Princeton resident, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after failing to satisfactorily perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. He was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and processed accordingly. The man was later released to a sober friend pending a future court date.

June 3, 5:07 p.m., during the course of a police investigation it was discovered that a 51-year-old Princeton man had an active warrant for his arrest out of the Princeton Municipal Court. He was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, and processed accordingly. The man was unable to post bail and was transported to the Mercer County Correctional Center.
