DWI Arrests, Shoplifting, Thefts Reported In Princeton

Princeton Police released its blotter for last week.

PRINCETON, NJ — DWI arrests, shoplifting, and thefts were reported recently in Princeton.

Princeton Police blotter:

On Dec. 3 at 10:41 a.m.: Patrols responded to a commercial business on Hulfish Street, for a past tense shoplifting that occurred on Dec. 1. The suspect, described as a black woman, approximately 30 to 40 years old, broad build, dark brown hair in a bunstyle, about 5'5" in height, wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants andeyeglasses, collected several pieces of merchandise and then proceeded past all points of sale, leaving the store without paying. The total value of the loss was $808. The police department is investigating.

On Dec. 4 at 2:36 p.m.: The victim reported that his unsecured Haro Beasley bicycle was stolen from the front yard of his home on Prospect Avenue, between 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 12 a.m. on Nov. 16. There are no suspects at this time.

On Dec. 4 at 12:49 a.m.: After a motor vehicle stop for going the wrong way on a one-way street (Witherspoon St.), the driver, later identified as Wiktoria Sokolowska, 23, of Trenton, was found operating her motor vehicle while intoxicated. Sokolowska was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where she was processed. Sokolowska was issued several motor vehicle summonses, including driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving, and driving the wrong way on a one-way roadway. She was later turned over to the custody of a sober adult.

On Dec. 6 at 1:32 p.m.: The victim reported that on Dec. 6, sometime between 11:30 a.m. and noon, someone entered her vehicle while it was parked in a recreational area on Snowden Lane. The victim further advised that three credit cards were stolen from her pocketbook, which had been left inside the vehicle. The unknown suspect(s) tried to use the credit cards at the Quaker Bridge Mall to make two large purchases, which were denied and flagged as fraudulent. The unknown suspect(s) were then able to make several successful fraudulent purchases at other locations, totaling $1,573.36.

On Dec. 6 at 12:56 a.m.: After a motor vehicle stop for failure to stop at a stop sign on Vandeventer Avenue, the driver, later identified as Augustus Mosse, 32, of Princeton, was found operating his motor vehicle while intoxicated. Mosse was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, where he was processed. Mosse was issued several motor vehicle summonses, including driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, failure to keep right, and having an open container in a motor vehicle. He was later turned over to the custody of a sober adult.

On Dec. 7 at 7:30 a.m.: The victim reported that on Dec. 7, between 7:30 and 8 a.m., someone stole an Apple iPhone 16, wallet, student ID, driver's license, and debit card, which were left on a counter in a commercial business on Nassau Street. The total loss was around $750.

On Dec. 7 at 2:16 a.m.: After a motor vehicle stop on Nassau Street for failure to maintain lane and failure to keep right, the driver, identified as Luciano Procaccini, 24, of Skillman, was placed under arrest after he was found to be driving while intoxicated. Procaccini was taken to police headquarters, where he was processed. He was issued several motor vehicle summonses, including driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, having an open container in a motor vehicle, failure to maintain lane, and failure to keep right. He was later turned over to the custody of a sober adult.
