Former Princeton Township Mayor Bernie Miller Dies At 95
Miller was first elected to council in 2002.
PRINCETON, NJ — Bernard (Bernie) Miller, the former Mayor of Princeton township died on Aug. 24. He was 95.
Miller was first elected to council in 2002, serving as deputy mayor and then mayor. When the township and borough consolidated, Miller was appointed council president in the new consolidated government.
Miller attended Penn State University where he graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1950.

In 1954 he graduated from the USAF Institute of Technology with an MS in aeronautical engineering.
After he graduated from Penn State, he entered active duty and was discharged on 06 July 1957.

From 1954-57 Miller taught Engineering at U.S. Naval Academy.
He received the NASA Public Service Award for the management of the NASA Ranger Program which took first hi-resolution pictures of the moon from space.
Miller worked as Senior VP at Lockheed Martin International and as President of ECON, Inc.
He spent a large part of his life serving the community and in 2017, decided to retire from active politics.
